Welcome to the Center for Disability Access and 资源! We are here to support you with disability-related accommodations and services which will enable you to engage in the University of Idaho’s community and academic environments. Our staff are here to answer any questions you have about the services we offer, 获得的过程 documentation and registering with our office. You may decide to register with our office at any point at which you think it would be to your benefit; it doesn’t have to be at the beginning of your program. Identifying as a student with a disability begins the interactive process of requesting and receiving accommodations within the University of Idaho programs and services. To initiate this process and determine your eligibility for accommodations, please follow these steps as early as possible.

向CDAR注册
The first step to receiving services from CDAR is to complete the CDAR应用程序. Before starting the application you will need:
- 你的汪达尔ID和用户名. You should receive this information in your welcome packet.
- Your DUO authentication device. The CDAR应用程序 uses multi-factor authentication to protect your information, so you'll need your phone or key-fob.
For security, the application will time out after 30 minutes. CDAR just needs basic information to start the accommodation process, you will have the opportunity during a meeting with one of our access consultants to share more details. Once you submit your application, you will receive a confirmation 电子邮件. If you do not receive a confirmation, your application was not submitted. Disability documentation must be provided by a physician, 心理学家, 听力学家, or other licensed professional appropriately qualified to diagnose your specific disability. A 504 or IEP is helpful in establishing previous accommodations, but not a substitute. If documentation is incomplete, or more information is needed to determine reasonable accommodations, CDAR may request additional documentation before moving forward with the accommodation process.
General documentation需求:
- Be on official letterhead from the professional describing the disability
- 注明日期并签字, 包括名字, title, and professional credentials of the evaluator, with information about license or certification.
- List and explain the diagnosis/description of the medical condition, 诊断日期, the likely duration of the medical condition, and the functional limitations that arise from the medical condition.

Once you've completed the CDAR应用程序, you will need to schedule a meeting with one of our access consultants. Appointments can be made by calling 208-885-6307 or 电子邮件ing cdar@jhhnyb.com. Initial appointments are scheduled for one hour. We are currently conducting appointments via Zoom to promote social distancing.
